Curl Control: The Breakdown, Part III

Over the next several weeks, we will highlight the curl control services offered at Bella Bethesda.  We know the details can get a little confusing, so we're here to set the record straight on what to expect from each service.

Be sure to take advantage of our current promotion -- through the end of June, all NEW curl control guests will receive $50 off and all returning curl control guests will receive $25 off. Promotion applies to the Japanese Straightener, Thermafuse and Keratin.

Thermafuse

Results:

• Formaldehyde free curl and frizz reduction

Maintenance:

• Lasts approximately 3 months

Precautions:

• It is advised to perform color services after this treatment due to possible fading
• Must use prescribed shampoo free of sulfates to extend the life of the treatment

Keratin Treatment

Results:

• Frizz Reduction, some curl reduction, strengthens and heals hair

Maintenance:

• Lasts approximately 3 months
• Must use prescribed shampoo free of sodium chloride to extend the life of the treatment

Precautions:

• Service is only available on Mondays due to the small amount of cosmetic grade aldehyde in the product
• Do not shampoo the hair for 3 to 4 days
• Do not use ponytails, clips, etc. until after the first shampoo
• Do not use any hair products containing sodium chloride
• Exposure to salt water may reduce effectiveness

Japanese Straightener

Results: 

• Specifically customized to each client's needs
• From sleek and straight to reduction in curl and frizz.

Maintenance:

• Must use prescribed shampoo and conditioner
• Retouch 1-4 times per year

Precautions:

• Color services must be done 2 weeks prior to or after
• Avoid chlorinated water for 2 weeks
• Do not shampoo the hair for 48 hours
• Do not use ponytails, clips, etc. until after the first shampoo
